Ink Run Press is a local letterpress and design studio specializing in handcrafted greeting cards, books, posters, prints and custom stationary. Located on the main floor of a historic church in Salt Lake City's Avenue district, the studio is run by partners Shannon Petty and Ashley Collett with collaborations by bookbinder and studio mate Lily Hall Sharp.
Each product is a combination of modern design coupled with traditional techniques. Passing through a vintage letterpress using antique methods, each piece becomes a one-of-a-kind .
Find them at www.inkrunpress.com or in the studio most days of the week.
I make whatever I'm obsessing over at the moment. Recently, that has included wooden arrows for home decor, interchangeable beaded pendants, vintage Saltair swim basket tag necklaces, simple scarves out of vintage fabrics, greeting cards made out of gel medium image transfers, mini silk notebooks, vintage knife necklaces, beehive Christmas ornaments and arrow necklaces. I worked in LA for five years for a jewelry designer and then a stationery studio and have just recently begun to venture outon my own, with the Salt Lake City valley and mountains as my current inspiration.
Isabell's Umbrella grew from an obsession with stationery, writing instruments and design. Ashley Giessing, owner/artist, believes she should have been born in the nineteenth century, when all correspondence was done by hand.
Specializing in stationery that will lift the clouds of a rainy day, Ashley’s hopes are to renew the lost "art" of hand correspondence by creating stationery you will want to share with others. "There is nothing that means more to me than a kind, heartfelt, handwritten note from someone I love."
Seriously cute stationery, buttons, pillows, artwork and children clothing are just a part of my line-up.
